Discover the enriching world of homesteading with our after-school program designed to cultivate young minds and sow the seeds of sustainability.
Our mission is to empower young students with practical skills, a genuine passion for stewardship and self‑reliance. Through hands‑on activities and thoughtful guidance, we strive to spark a lifelong love for the earth and its resources.
We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation by reconnecting them with the natural world. Our after‑school programs introduce children to the foundations of agriculture and homesteading, encouraging them to grow, create, and care for the earth with confidence and curiosity.
Homesteading 101 is Christian‑based.
We approach our work with values rooted in faith, kindness, and respect for God’s creations and each other, welcoming all students while teaching with these principles.
Our program is especially designed for children aged 6-12 years-however, all are welcome to attend. A parent or legal guardian is required to be present with their child at ALL TIMES, this is NOT a daycare service.
Parents and children under 2 come free!
Everyday we will begin with the pledge of allegiance and an opening prayer. We will then do our daily chores caring for our vegetable gardens and meat rabbits.
Next comes instruction time broken up into 15 minute sections with hands on activities and art projects.
Students will have opportunities to lead the class, share in their own words what they've been learning, show & tell, participate in community service projects and run the farm stand.
Classes are held in the evening from 4-5:30pm
If you would like to review the 6 month curriculum plan, please request it from Sabrina Bingham.

We are excited to meet you!
We teach practical skills for sustainable living, including composting, raised gardening beds, tray sprouting, meat rabbits and foraging.
Your kids can get their hands dirty with real-life farming experiences, from planting seeds to raising meat rabbits. We have several building projects and can't wait to have you join us!
Our program encourages a love for nature through exploratory activities in gardens and natural habitats.
Your kids can learn how to identify the natural wildlife and plants of our area.
At a dinner party on Wednesday, friends wanted stories about my experience on a farm.
Sabrina was in every story I shared. She taught me how to care for the animals and the land in a unique, deeply loving, and realistically practical way.
Learning about homesteading has changed my life.
I am more grounded, present, grateful, and connected with the world around me, even now as a girl in the 'big city'.
Farming and gardening are just the start. These traditional skills are sustainable and the foundation for self-sufficiency.
I highly recommend boosting your children's confidence, knowledge, and skills through homestead 101 with Sabrina.

Sabrina's knowledge of local wildlife and vegetation has helped me and my children explore safely through nature! Helps to know what plants are poisonous and which are okay to touch.

Sabrina’s homeschool group was super fun for my daughter and I. It was fun for us to go see cows and learn about them as well as try some raw milk. My daughter who was 12-18 months at the time enjoyed seeing the cows up close. We also went to the orchard which was fun for the kids to explore together and have our guide teach about the different trees. We also went to Bear World and saw the different animals there, then saw the dinosaur exhibit. Again we had a guide teaching us about the dinosaurs. Sabrina provided activity sheets to continue the fun and education at home to review what we just learned about. This was a really great experience to learn from Sabrina and those in the community as well as enjoy the social aspect for both children and adults. I definitely recommend Sabrina’s homeschool group.

Sabrina has a gift for combining learning with interesting adventures and hands-on projects. She has taught my children much about nature, animals and agriculture, and I am always amazed at her creativity, enthusiasm and preparation. In my experience, she is a skilled educator with practice handling diverse ages organizations and needs.

Sabrina is one of the most knowledgeable person I know on how to create and maintain a homestead. She was the one who stood by my side to help process a couple of my chickens last year (2025)! What seemed intimidating turned out to be very light-hearted and instructive. She teaches in a manner that’s very easy for my ADHD brain to comprehend!
